01 — The Studio

A studio, not a department.

An independent structural engineering consultancy based in Manchester and working throughout the UK — residential alterations, new buildings, existing-structure appraisals and technically demanding industrial projects.

The studio is led by Carl Bebbington, a Chartered Structural Engineer with more than twenty years of professional experience gained with contractors, fabricators and consultancies.

Based in Manchester, Bebbington Engineering Studio provides structural engineering services across Greater Manchester, the North West and throughout the UK. Structural engineering in Manchester →

02 — Approach

How the engineering is done.

Engineering effort is kept proportionate to the problem. Load paths, stability and foundations are resolved early, and the level of analysis is matched to the stage and the risk.

Designs are developed with fabrication and erection in mind, so details are sensible to build and the information issued is genuinely usable on site.

Assumptions, constraints and residual risks are set out plainly, so the wider team can make informed decisions rather than interpret a black box.
